Catch-all email allows you to choose one of your accounts to receive all email sent to email addresses that don’t exist on your domain.

For example, if your catch-all account is timmy@example.com, that’s where you’ll receive any email sent to accounts that haven’t been created, like tim@example.com or timothy@example.com.

You can use this feature to avoid losing emails when people misspell your name, or to easily accept all emails sent to common email addresses (sales@example.com, info@example.com, support@example.com, etc.) without creating or paying for those accounts.

To use catch-all email, sign in to Hushtools with your administrator account and click on View/change domain information, then Configure Domain. Enter the email address you would like to use as your catch-all account:

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask our Hushmail Business customer support team.

We display the date and time of your previous 10 logins, your IP address and the location we think you signed in from. You can use this information to help detect unauthorized access to your account.

To access your recent login history, click the “Recent logins” link below your message list.

If you have any questions or feedback please feel free to get in touch with our customer support team.

If you would like this feature added to your Hushmail Business domain, please let us know.

BusinessWeek reviews Hushmail Business and other ways to protect email http://www.hushmail.com/blog/2009/06/03/businessweek-reviews-hushmail-business/ http://www.hushmail.com/blog/2009/06/03/businessweek-reviews-hushmail-business/#comments Wed, 03 Jun 2009 21:44:56 +0000 Hushmail.com 9873eaad153c6c960616c89e54fe155a BusinessWeekMy recommendation is to start off with either the free Hushmail product or the Business version and see if hosted e-mail is right for your needs.]]> In “Hushmail and Other Ways to Protect E-mail“, David Strom reviews Hushmail Business, PGP Universal Gateway Email, and Voltage SecureMail Connected Gateway as three low-cost, easy-to-use business-friendly email encryption packages. From the article:

BusinessWeekYou probably know by now that any e-mail that isn’t encrypted traverses the Internet in clear text that can easily be viewed with little skill and just some patience. So what are you doing to protect your company’s sensitive e-mail?

The right way is to encrypt e-mail messages in their entire path from sender to receiver. You also need to digitally sign them, to ensure that no one else has tampered with them in transit.

Hush Communications has been around a long time in the encryption world. Its basic business account, which is the least expensive of the three solutions reviewed here, starts at $24 a year per user. (There is also a free personal version that has most of the features found in the business product, with the exception of having your own domain names to send and receive the encrypted e-mails.)

My recommendation is to start off with either the free Hushmail product or the Business version and see if hosted e-mail is right for your needs.
