Hushmail for Healthcare allows you to encrypt emails containing personal health information. It automatically creates a separate archive account that keeps a record of all emails sent or received by all users in your domain, which is essential in case of an audit. Plus, it includes the required Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for HIPAA compliance.
Encryption between user accounts in your practice happens automatically, so you don’t even have to think about it. When emailing clients and organizations outside your practice, our on-demand encryption is easily managed with a checkbox. This layer of security prevents unauthorized access to your Hushmail account by using a two-stage process to authenticate your identity from any device we don't recognize. The first step is to sign in using your username and passphrase. The second step is entering a verification code that we’ll send to your mobile phone or an alternate email address. You can also obtain a verification code using a smartphone app.

Personalize your email using the domain that you already own (e.g. yourclinic.com) and remain as professional and trustworthy as ever. If you don't own a domain, you can use one of our ".hush.com" subdomains (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org). Not applicable if you choose one of our domains.

Aliases are alternate email addresses ending in @nym.hush.com. Use these aliases to mask your real email address when you don’t feel comfortable disclosing it. Aliases point email to your existing Hushmail account and share the same inbox.
Privacy is our priority, not an afterthought. When you use Hushmail, you own your data and your emails are not analyzed to display advertising. Your data is never sold to anyone. Your IP address does not appear on the headers of the email.
