The complete Hushmail experience available now on the App Store
Entering a complex passphrase on a smartphone can be a pain—especially if you’re trying to do it with one hand. Hushmail for iPhone supports Face ID and Touch ID to help you access the app quickly and easily, without having to tap out your passphrase. It also helps prevent unauthorized people from opening the app.
Expecting an important email? The app supports push notifications, to let you know when you've received a new email. It’s an optional feature, so you can turn it off anytime.
Email you send using Hushmail for iPhone is automatically encrypted when the recipient also uses Hushmail. When you send an email to someone who doesn’t use Hushmail, you get to choose whether to encrypt it or not. The data is encrypted before it leaves your device, providing security to the body of your emails and attachments.
The app allows you to send and receive secure, encrypted email for any of your aliases and up to 10 Hushmail accounts—and switching between your accounts just takes a couple taps. Aliases enable you to send messages or sign up for newsletters without using your main email account, protecting your primary address from spam and other surprises.
With two-step verification, Hushmail for iPhone provides stronger security than most email apps—you might even say it’s twice as strong. With two-step verification enabled, you’re asked to enter your passphrase, then you’re required to enter a verification code that we’ll send by text to your mobile phone or an alternate email address.
