How to Cancel

Customers may cancel their Hushmail subscription at any time by following the steps in our Help Article or by completing this account closure form.

Effective Date of Cancellation

Immediate cancellation via billing page: If you cancel your subscription directly from the billing page of your account as outlined in our Help Article, your request will be processed immediately.
Cancellation via account closure form: If you cancel your subscription using our account closure form, please allow up to 2 business days for your request to be processed. You remain responsible for any payments that fall due during this processing period.
Access after cancellation: Once your subscription has been canceled, your account will stay active until the end of the current billing period.

Automatic Renewal

All Hushmail subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly, annually, every two years, or every 3 years), unless canceled in advance. Customers are responsible for canceling their subscription prior to its expiry if they wish to avoid being charged.

Refunds and Partial Periods

Payments are non-refundable and Hushmail does not provide pro-rated refunds for unused portions of a subscription.

Money-Back Guarantee

We want customers to be fully satisfied with Hushmail. If you cancel your subscription within the first 60 days of your initial paid purchase, you can request a refund of the subscription payment, subject to the following conditions:

The Money-Back Guarantee applies only to first-time paid subscriptions.
Subscriptions that include a free trial period are not eligible for the Money-Back Guarantee.
Renewals, upgrades, and subsequent purchases are not eligible.
You may only use the Money-Back Guarantee once. Any additional accounts you create with Hushmail are not eligible for the guarantee.
Refunds are not automatically provided. To request a refund under the Money-Back Guarantee, customers must contact Hushmail's Customer Care Team after canceling their subscription and request the refund. Hushmail will then determine eligibility for the Money-Back Guarantee refund.

Failed Payments

If your payment is unsuccessful but you have not canceled your subscription, we may retry charging your payment method multiple times until the payment is successful, the subscription is canceled, or we deem the payment uncollectible.
