No. They receive a link to open your encrypted message on a secure web page. They can read the message, view attachments, and reply securely.

Can another dental practice send documents to me without Hushmail?

Yes. You can create a Secure File Transfer form and share the link with them. They can upload documents without creating an account.

Can I send dental X-rays and other patient records?

Yes, you can send dental records and imaging files as encrypted email attachments, as long as they meet Hushmail's file size limits. Each email attachment can be up to 20 MB, with a 50 MB total message limit. For larger files, you can use a secure form to receive up to 75 MB across up to 20 files per submission.

Can I use Hushmail with my existing dental practice management software?

You can exchange confidential documents through Hushmail and then save them to your existing records system. Hushmail works alongside your dental software rather than automatically integrating with every system.

Can I use Hushmail instead of CDA Secure Send?

Hushmail can help you exchange confidential documents using encrypted email and secure online forms. However, it doesn't offer every feature of CDA Secure Send, including its dental directory. We recommend checking your specific file-sharing requirements before switching.
